Mojito Party

Throwing a Mojito Party is great fun! Summer is traditionally considered the best time of year to throw a Mojito party. The fact the planet is warming makes any sunny day, any time of year great for induldging in some cooling latin libations!

Mojitos are an excellent drink choice to cool warm days and evenings and are world famous as refreshing beverages.

The key to an excellent Mojito is fresh ingredients. Muddling some fresh fruits, along with sugar, mint and lime juice (the basic three non-alcoholic ingredients for making a Mojito) and involving your guest in varying drink rounds at the party makes for an interactive party experience. Mojito Recipe

Ingredients:

White sugar
Mint leaves – fresh
Lime juice
Club soda
White rum
Crushed ice

Method of preparation:

Take a tall Collins glass and put in the mint leaves. Fresh mint from your garden is one of the best choices; otherwise organic mint is also available at the grocery shops. Add the lime juice and white sugar and muddle the ingredients well with the help of a pestle. Muddling blends the lime juice, sugar and fresh mint. Next add the white rum as well as the crushed ice. For the topping add the lemon or lime flavored soda and stir well again. For the garnish, use a sprig of mint leaves. The drink is a favorite at summer dinner parties. The Mojito makes a perfect drink before and after dinner time.

Party Things:

When you throw a Mojito party, you will need the usual party accompaniments. Be sure to have bottled water, some good music, delicious food - Pollo Asado en Cazuela, Pollo en salsa de frijol Negro, tamales, etc and of course the Mojitos! Give your guests notice to arrive dressed and ready. Invite them to bring fresh fruits, special sweetners or any other items that will contribute to the festivities. Summer apparel or a summer masquerade could be planned! Such preparation breathes more life into each cocktail!

It helps to also decide on the recipes, to get all the ingredients for the different Mojito drinks organized in advance. Take the help of your friends for muddling the ingredients or arranging necessary things for the party. They should be more than willing to do so, after all it is a party!
